Who We Are

Not for the many, but for those who refuse to compromise.

Serein Team was founded in 2025, rooted in Hong Kong. We are an independent software team focused on systems-level software and programming languages.

We do not chase user counts, chase trends, or resort to marketing gimmicks. We do one thing: make every tool as precise as possible.

"Serein" means clear-sky rain — rain falling through sunlight. We chose the name because good engineering is often overlooked, but it is always there, quietly doing its work.

Our flagship product is Aero — a systems programming language built on LLVM. Write like Python, run like C++, memory-safe at compile time, no GC.

What We Believe

Four principles.
One standard.

Precision FirstDATA ACCURACY

Data must be accurate. A CPU clock must not drift by 1MHz, a temperature must not deviate by 1°C. If it cannot be measured precisely, we state the uncertainty rather than fabricate it.

Native FirstSYSTEM PERFORMANCE

Where system APIs can be called directly from C++, we do not wrap a framework. Where we can compile to a native binary, we do not use an interpreted language. Performance and authority are non-negotiable.

Restraint FirstPURPOSEFUL INTERFACE

No superfluous features, no meaningless decoration. Every element in an interface exists for a reason. Less is more — not out of laziness, but out of respect.

Ready FirstSHIP WHEN READY

No rushing to release. We verify on more real devices and test in more edge cases. Good things are worth waiting for; software shipped half-finished betrays its users.

How the team runs.
A few people, one standard.

Serein Team is run by a small team. From product design, C++ backend development, and frontend construction to testing and release, every stage has a dedicated owner.

We deliberately stay small — a few people means high density: communication without friction, decisions without compromise, and every person accountable for every detail.
